Inception
TOA came into vogue in April 2016 at Thane under the able guidance of Dr Ram Prabhoo who inaugurated the function and was graced by many well known dignitaries. TOA is a registered organisation with the Charitable commissioner & registrar of Society Thane on 8/2/2017
Executive Committee
Our first President was Dr Anant Chary from 2016 to 2018 after which Dr Abhay Kulkarni has taken over the reigns. Our Secretary Dr Rahul Deshpande has been instrumental in arranging numerous CMEs and workshops during his tenure under the able guidance of our respected President since inception. It was because of the untiring efforts of Dr Ashok Shyam who was our treasurer then, we got recognised by MAHARASHTRA ORTHOPAEDIC ASSOCIATION in 2018 and we have been under their aegis since then.
Academic activities
We have successfully conducted numerous academic seminars and workshops with eminent speakers since inception. We have conducted numerous free ortho check up camps at various locations with the help of our members and colleagues with their genuine efforts of giving community service at various institutions in an around Thane. For this we have received rich accolades from our vast community of Doctors and social workers like eg: IMA Thane, Shri Eknath Shinde ji (Then the guardian minister of Thane) & Kalwa Hospital Thane etc
